Ministry Description
Wayne and Ellen Patton are missionaries with GBIM and live in Belém, Brazil, with their four children (ages 8-15). After leaving their home church in Centerville GBC near Dayton, Ohio, in 2003, they settled into the port city of Belém on the mouth of the Amazon River.
God has equipped the Pattons with some very special skills that make them a key part of the ministry there. The main thrust of the ministry is to mobilize the entire church for church planting and the spread of the Gospel throughout Brazil. The team develops and publishes training materials to equip people for ministry and provide one on one mentoring of church planters who are taking the Gospel outside of the walls of the church.
To help continue fueling this church planting movement, the Pattons will facilitate teams from the USA to blitz build church buildings and Go-Teams to help with prayer and support in targeted areas. These strategic ministries can quickly triple the size of a home-based church and transform it into a fast passed growing visible ministry in a community.

Prayer Requests
1. Jacob is making big plans for when he returns to the States to attend college.
2. Pray for the commentaries both written and audio will continue in our absence.
3. Pray for our ministry plans as we look into focusing on Oral learners who are scattered throughout the Amazon region.
